Universem is a digital marketing agency founded in 2010 by Simon-Pierre Breuls, Hubert de Cartier, and Sébastien François. It specializes in search engine marketing, social media marketing, and web analytics. They master all online marketing techniques, both paid and organic. Their main focuses are to help companies to better understand their customers’ behaviors and to bring targeted traffic on their website in order to increase their ROI. They build online strategies in the long term by optimizing each campaign on previous performances. Below is an interview with Sébastien François.
What are you most proud of this year?
“We have been active for four years exactly on September 2 of this year, and 2014 has been very positive. Given the expansion of our business and the trust of our customers, we have already hired four people this year, won many new references, and have just moved into our new offices, which are much more spacious for a better working environment for all the team as well as for clients who come to visit us.
There are several things that we are proud of this year, but if I had to highlight one, it would probably be the way that we set up a team of specialized and complementary talents that allows us to better assist our customers in their marketing strategy and especially in digital aspects that are playing an ever more important role.”
What characterizes you the most?
“Without hesitation, it’s our expertise. Our vision is that the Web is now composed of many specialists, and each must be an expert in his field (developers, graphic designers, digital marketing consultants, project managers, etc.). That’s why we regularly work with other web agencies because we believe that to achieve exceptional results, it is necessary to use the talents in each field. In this perspective, we have in-house specialists in each area of digital marketing (SEO, advertising, analytics, etc.) because given the rate at which new products appear on the market, it is impossible for the same person to be an expert in all the various fields of digital marketing.”
Who would be your dream customer?
“I would say that the ideal client is one who understands the importance of digital marketing for the future of their business. With that kind of client, it is possible to create a long-term online strategy that will be much more efficient. By conducting advertising campaigns, optimizing the conversion process, etc. with a long-term vision, we will generate much more traffic to the site and bring in many more new customers. It is very important to understand that digital marketing is a set of elements that must be structured well for a successful outcome on the whole.”
What will be the biggest trend of 2015?
“Several underlying trends are observed in the area. One of them is regarding customer analytics and big data. With the Web, lots of elements are measurable, and it helps make more informed decisions. This trend will drive us in the future to better identify the behaviors of users and, on this basis, to optimize marketing campaigns to target a maximum return on investment.”
